Organ donation, transplantation and dialysis: Data holdings

The Canadian Organ Replacement Register (CORR) is a longitudinal national database that provides statistics to track long-term trends for dialysis activity, organ transplantation, organ donation and wait-list statistics. CORR collects data from hospital dialysis programs, transplant programs, organ donation organizations (ODOs) and independent health facilities to track patients from their first treatment for end-stage organ failure (dialysis or transplantation) to their death.

In fall 2023, we launched the Canadian Organ Donation and Transplantation Data System (CanODT) as part of a multi-year initiative co-led by ºìÁì½í¹Ï±¨and Canada ºìÁì½í¹Ï±¨ Infoway.

Selected ODT indicators may also use data from additional sources, such as the Hospital Morbidity Database (HMDB), which captures administrative, clinical and demographic information on hospital discharges.
